simba's house
residential architecture, Khopoli
a home for a slower, quieter life. With a few sun-filled rooms and a backyard thrice as big to run and grow.
a 3000 sqft build, with wrap around balcony and wrap around porch, to enjoy the beautiful property from all sides. Sloping roof, lime plaster and stone cladded walls to fullfill clients dream of having a 'castle-cottage' home.
Simba was our client's extremely adorable golden retriever. She was our muse for the design; every spot we designed wondering where simba would enjoy soaking in the sun or where she would enjoy running
We added a lot of insitu details like seating and niches to add more functionality and character. This also achieved clients' requirement of wanting to buy very limited furniture
With ample windows, we wanted the greens and natural light to always filter into the house. The terrace was our favourite addition, to enjoy evenings with a view.
